Eastern Wyoming College, also known as EWC, is a community college found in Torrington, Wyoming. The college also has satellite campuses in Crook County, Platte County, Weston County, Converse County and Niobara County. The school receives an annual enrollment of over 8,500 students, with 2000 of them being credit students and around 6,500 of them being non credit students.
The school offers residential housing for its students. The school has two residential halls, Eastern Hall and Lancer Hall. Both buildings are built close to the campus classrooms and to most of the student services buildings. The school also has several student services including financial aid. More than 90% of all incoming freshmen receive financial aid from the school.
There are three primary divisions in the academic areas of the schools. These divisions are the Arts, Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences Division, the Business & Technology division, and the Science Division. Eastern Wyoming College is a member of Division 1 of the National Junior College Athletic Association or NJCAA. Eastern Wyoming College offers scholarship athletic teams in several sports including basketball, volleyball and golf. The school is also one of a few colleges that offer men’s & women rodeo teams that compete in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. The school nickname are the Lancers.
